Supply only uPVC windows and doors for the trade
Made to your sizes in our own factory, delivered to your yard or site, fitted by your team. No survey visit, no sales appointment, no installation on our side. Supply only is how installers, builders and developers buy frames, and it is how we have supplied the trade for over 30 years.
What does supply only mean?
Supply only means you buy the finished windows and doors and fit them yourself. The manufacturer takes your sizes and specification, builds the frames, glazes and hangs them, and delivers. Survey, removal, installation, making good and certification stay with you.
Hurricane Windows & Doors manufactures uPVC windows, uPVC doors, composite doors, French and patio doors and uPVC sash windows on a supply only basis for trade customers across the United Kingdom and Ireland, from our factory in Ballymoney, County Antrim.
If you fit windows for a living, supply only is usually the cheaper and faster route. You are not paying for a retail sales process, a home visit or a fitting team you do not need. You are buying manufacturing capacity, and the value of that comes down to accuracy, consistency and lead time.
Supply only or supply and fit: who does what
The difference is not the product. It is where responsibility sits. Both routes give you the same frames from the same factory. Supply only moves the survey, the labour and the compliance sign-off onto your side of the line.
| Stage | Supply only | Supply and fit |
|---|---|---|
| Survey and final sizes | You measure and sign off. The sizes you give us are the sizes we build. | We survey and carry the risk on sizes. |
| Manufacture | Us, in house. | Us, in house. |
| Delivery | To your yard, unit or site. | To site, sequenced to the fitting programme. |
| Removal of existing frames | You. | Us. |
| Installation and making good | You. | Us. |
| Waste and old frame disposal | You. | Us. |
| Building control notification | You, through your own competent person scheme or a building control application. | Handled as part of the installation. |
| Product guarantee | Covers the manufactured product. Fitting is excluded. | Covers product and installation. |
| Typical buyer | Installers, builders, developers, shopfitters and experienced self-builders. | Homeowners and end clients. |
The one rule that matters. On a supply only order, the sizes are yours. A frame that is 15mm too wide is not a manufacturing fault, it is a survey fault, and it is not covered by the product guarantee. The survey checklist further down this page is the cheapest insurance on the job.
What we supply on a supply only basis
Everything below is made to measure. There is no stock range and no standard size list, because trade orders almost never fit one.

Triple glazing is available across the window range where the specification or the client calls for it. Worth pricing both ways before you commit a whole plot or block to it.

Request a Supply Only QuoteWho supply only suits
Supply only works when you already have the fitting capability and what you actually need is a reliable manufacturer behind you.
If you are a homeowner without a fitter lined up, supply only is usually the wrong route. Ask us about a supplied and fitted quote instead.
How a supply only order works
Delivery across the UK and Ireland
Lead time is the thing that actually costs an installer money. A cheap frame that turns up three weeks late has cost you a fitting slot, a scaffold hire and a client relationship.
We manufacture in Ballymoney, County Antrim, and supply trade customers in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and mainland Great Britain. Orders for the mainland are consolidated and delivered on a planned schedule rather than piecemeal, which is what keeps the cost per unit sensible on a crossing.
Planned, not piecemeal
Consolidated mainland deliveries on a set schedule, so freight cost is shared across the order rather than loaded onto single units.
Labelled to your references
Give us your opening references on the schedule and we will label the delivery to match, which cuts fitting time on multi-unit jobs.
Phased against your programme
On developments and refurbishment contracts, frames released in phases against the fitting programme rather than all at once.
Ask us for the current lead time before you plan the programme. Lead times move with the order book and with the specification. Triple glazing, non-standard colours and shaped frames take longer than white casements. We will give you a working-day figure against your actual schedule rather than a headline number.
Trade pricing and repeat ordering
Trade pricing is not a discount code. It reflects the fact that a trade customer places repeat orders, gives us accurate sizes, and does not need a sales visit. Volume and repeat business are priced accordingly.

Composite Doors in Volume
Built to the opening, not to a catalogue
Made-to-measure manufacture matters more on supply only, because the sizes you give us are the sizes we build.
Getting sizes right on a supply only order
Almost every problem on a supply only order traces back to the survey, not the factory. On supply and fit, a survey error is the manufacturer's cost. On supply only, it is yours. Ten minutes of checking is cheaper than a remake.
Who is responsible for Building Regulations on a supply only order
On a supply only order, the person who installs the windows is responsible for building control compliance and notification, not the manufacturer. That is the trade-off you accept in exchange for the lower unit cost.
Replacement windows and doors in a dwelling are controlled work across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The route to demonstrating compliance depends on where the job is.
England and Wales
Notify through a competent person scheme such as FENSA or CERTASS if you are registered, or submit a building control application to the local authority if you are not.
Scotland and Northern Ireland
In Scotland the work is dealt with under building standards through the local authority verifier or a recognised certification scheme. In Northern Ireland it goes through the district council as a building regulations application.
Republic of Ireland
Work is subject to the Building Regulations and, on relevant projects, the Building Control Amendment Regulations process.
We supply the specification, you supply the certificate. We provide the product specification and performance documentation you need to support that process. What we cannot do on a supply only order is certify an installation we did not carry out. Thermal performance requirements are set by the regulations in force at the time of the work and they change, so confirm the target that applies to your project and jurisdiction, then specify the glazing to meet it. We will build to whatever figure you give us.
